Basic purpose: With general supervision and regular review of work status from a Supervisor, (while wearing a full body harness attached to equipment by self-retracting lanyard), employee will drive cherry pickers and/or reach trucks (heavy material handling equipment) to various locations in warehouse to select product in the correct volume to fill customer orders. Maneuver (a series of moves requiring skill and care) selected material to a staging area for packing and shipment. Equipment platform will raise up to 30 ft. in the air. “Regular and Predictable” attendance is required. Availability to work overtime and Saturdays is required.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Based on customer orders, drive material handling equipment such as order picker and reach trucks to select part numbers and volumes from warehouse rack locations from floor & up to 30 ft. high racks, and place in designated containers with protective material so that parts are not damaged in transit.
2. Move picked materials to staging area for final packing and processing.
3. Maintain clean and safe work area by putting away all unused materials, tools, and removing scrap or waste for the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Dynamic Flexibility - The ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, squat, stoop, or reach out with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Working conditions:
  • Must be able to work overtime (10 hour days, weekends, holidays, etc.) as needed per business demands.
  • Must be able to wear a full body harness 8 to 10 hours daily.
  • Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
Physical requirements:
  • Standing is required at all times except when on breaks.
  • Lifting heavy objects from floor to chest level on a frequent basis.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, stooping and reaching in and out of rack locations, lifting parts out of containers.
  • Wearing a full body harness while driving material handling equipment and going up to 30 feet in the air to pull parts out of rack locations over an 8 to 10 hour day is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to chest throughout a work day required.
  • Ability to maneuver 75 plus lbs. of product from rack to shipping container is required.
  • Maximum weight/height requirements for driving Order Picker Equipment: Wt. - 310 lbs; Ht. – 6 Ft. 5 in
  • Maximum height and circumference requirements for Extender/Reach Truck Equipment: Ht. – 6 Ft. 5 in.; Circumference – Must be able to fit inside the body compartment of the equipment without compromising the ability to safely steer the equipment.
