Service Technician – Nashville or Knoxville, TN

Our company is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting technician to join our team in either Nashville or Knoxville, TN. We specialize in boiler and boiler-related equipment sales, service, and repair, with offices in Georgia and Tennessee. The open position is classified as Service Technician within our organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service malfunctioning boilers, related equipment, and controls.
• Perform combustion analysis and tune-up control settings for optimal operation.
• Prepare boilers for inspection and heating seasons.
• Install mechanical and electrical systems for boilers and related equipment.
• Conduct start-up operations for newly installed and existing boiler systems.
• Complete minor and final electrical connections and runs.
• Perform pipefitting and plumbing tasks, including brazing copper piping.
• Assist boilermakers with boiler tube and refractory repair and installation.
• Complete all required job documentation promptly and accurately.
• Participate in other duties as assigned, with reliable and reasonable attendance.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 2–3 years of experience in service, repair, and/or mechanical operations.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with combustion analysis and boiler systems.
  • Knowledge of boiler service, repair, and operations.
  • Pump and motor service experience.
  • Plumbing or electrical trade certifications.
  • Pipefitting and/or plumbing experience.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with computer-operated boiler controls.
  • Welding and oxygen cutting skills.

Physical and Personal Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds from floor to waist and above head.
• Capable of climbing ladders and using forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Ability to stand for 6+ hours per day and work in varying temperatures.
• Willingness to work on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Efficient, organized, and adaptable to change.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Problem-solving ability with a "Can/Will Do" attitude.
