Provides preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and pneumatic facility/equipment controls and responds to abnormal conditions and emergencies. Acts as primary controls person for all facility control systems including: building automated systems (BAS), nurse call, security access, PEVCO, pneumatic, and electronic controls issues beyond the initial response by the various HVAC Mechanics. Provides basic test and balance services to the various departments. This position is responsible for the upkeep of all electrical systems consistent with the Medical Center’s strategies and objective with energy conservation and cost savings being a primary goal. Included: Assist the Director of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. Installation, troubleshoot, design, preventive maintenance, repair and service to all electrical systems. Performs boiler watch, safety surveillance, and helps other trades as needed/requested. Maintains complete safety records. Maintains excellent working relationships with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the Department Director, Supervisor, and department staff. Train co-workers in the various systems.
