Take a positive step toward better health in this informative and encouraging workshop designed for individuals dealing with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, extra weight, pre-diabetes, or type 2 diabetes. During this class, you will learn: • Simple lifestyle changes that can improve your metabolism • How nutrition impacts blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure • Practical ways to increase energy and support weight management • Daily habits that help support long-term health • How lifestyle changes may help manage — and potentially reverse — pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes This workshop will provide realistic tools, helpful guidance, and encouragement to help you begin making meaningful changes for better health. Brief Instructor Bio: Melissa Ptak has been a registered nurse for 26 years. She is also a family nurse practitioner, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, and a certified health coach.
