By submitting this application, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Code of Ethics. I understand that membership applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and that compliance with the Code of Ethics is a condition of membership. I also consent to receiving Chamber communications related to my membership and Chamber activities.
As a member of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, I pledge to uphold and adhere to the following Code of Ethics, recognizing the importance of maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all my business activities and interactions. The Chamber retains the right to terminate the membership of any individual or entity that fails to comply with the established Code of Conduct.

Members shall conduct business with honesty, integrity, and transparency.

Members will provide accurate information about their products, services, and affiliations and will avoid deceptive, misleading, or unethical business practices.
Respect, Professionalism, and Fair Treatment

Members shall treat customers, employees, fellow members, Chamber staff, volunteers, and board members with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.

Members shall not engage in discrimination, harassment, intimidation, threats, or abusive conduct.
Compliance and Fair Competition

Members shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards and shall compete fairly and ethically, avoiding anti-competitive or unfair business practices.
Representation of the Chamber

Membership in the Chamber does not constitute endorsement by the Chamber.

Members may not falsely represent themselves as speaking on behalf of the Chamber or imply Chamber sponsorship, approval, or endorsement without written authorization.
Marketing and Communications

Promotional materials submitted to the Chamber must be appropriate for a broad audience and are subject to Chamber approval and discretion.

Members shall not knowingly make false or misleading statements regarding the Chamber, its staff, board members, volunteers, programs, or fellow members.
Online and Public Conduct

The Chamber respects members' rights to express their opinions. However, repeated harassment, threats, defamation, or targeted attacks directed toward Chamber staff, volunteers, board members, members, or the organization may be considered conduct inconsistent with Chamber membership.
Commitment to Professional Growth
Review of Membership

The Chamber Board of Directors reserves the right to review conduct that is materially detrimental to the Chamber's mission, reputation, operations, or ability to serve its members.

Any action regarding membership status shall include notice to the member and an opportunity to respond.
