Radiologic Technologist
Cookeville Regional Medical Center is seeking Full-Time Radiologic Technologist's to join our Imaging team! Up to $7,500 sign on bonus with 2 year contract post orientation!
The Radiologic Technologist position is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologists and/or staff physicians while administering x-rays in the course of radiological examinations in concordance with physician orders. The radiologic technologist shall be capable of operating radiologic equipment, perform a variety of radiological procedures, operate the picture archiving system, use radiographic supplies including contrast while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic clerical and housekeeping functions such as examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control.
The level I technologist shall be competent in the following areas: general radiography, routine fluoroscopy including barium studies, portable and emergent trauma radiography, radiographic technique formulation, radiographic quality control and basic surgical radiographic procedures. Level I technologists exercise professional judgment while performing services in a demeanor complimentary to customer service, age specific criteria, safety and medical ethics Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology Upon hire or within twelve months of eligibility must achieve ARRT certification.
