Join us for a ribbon cutting celebrating the Bryan Symphony Orchestra's return to Derryberry Hall at Tennessee Tech University!
For the BSO, this is more than a venue change. It is a homecoming. Derryberry Hall is where the orchestra was founded in 1963, and Joan Derryberry herself once performed on this very stage. As the BSO opens its 63rd season, they are proud to return to where it all began, with a season built around the theme of connection.
The season opener, Appalachian Connections, takes place Sunday, October 11th at 3:00 PM. From the misty ridgelines of Appalachia to the fiery rhythms of Mexico, the concert traces the threads that connect us, featuring mandolin virtuoso Jeff Midkiff in a genre-bending showcase of bluegrass grit and orchestral color under the baton of Maestro Dan Allcott.
Come celebrate this meaningful homecoming with us!
PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
Guests for the ribbon cutting ceremony can register for a temporary parking pass HERE using the code Chamber1008 (case sensitive). Because the parking pass is only valid for one day, guests should wait until Oct. 8 to register. The pass allows parking in any gold, purple or visitor-zoned spot across campus. Please avoid any spot marked “reserved.” For the most available parking, consider using the West Purple Lot across Willow Avenue, located near Tech Village and the intramural fields, and using the university’s free shuttle service. While there is not a shuttle drop-off location at Derryberry Hall, the shuttle will stop at several nearby locations, including the Roaden University Center.
