DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informative session that delves into the current state of the region's healthcare systems and explores opportunities for businesses and organizations to collaborate in building a healthier community.\n\n\n\nGain valuable insights from healthcare leaders in the region as they discuss the impact of the past year on their institutions and share their outlook on the healthcare industry's growth in 2024 and beyond.\n\n\n\nThe community is invited to submit questions to be asked during the event. Please submit your questions using the link below. Submissions will be accepted until 3:00 PM on January 5.\n\nQuestion Submission Form\n\n\n\nThe event kicks off at 10:00 AM\, featuring exhibitor booths from our local healthcare partners. Each exhibitor space includes tickets for 2 guests and can be purchased until 1/9/24. Enjoy lunch starting at 11:00 AM\, followed by the main program from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Afterward\, the exhibitor booths will reopen until 2:00 PM.\n\nKEYNOTE SPEAKER\n\nBuffy Key\, Chief Executive Officer of the Cookeville Regional Medical Center\n\n\n\nIn March 2023\, Key assumed the role of interim CEO at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after serving as Chief Operating Officer for two years. Appointed by Governor Bill Lee to the State of Tennessee Lab Board\, Key brings over 32 years of healthcare and hospital experience.\n\nBeginning as a medical laboratory scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center during her service in the Army National Guard\, Key holds a bachelor's degree in medical technology from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Management in healthcare from Vanderbilt University.\n\nHer career includes roles as lab manager and director at CRMC\, administrative director of operations-clinical laboratories at Vanderbilt\, and later returning to CRMC as senior vice president for quality and operations. Key received the Tennessee Hospital Association's 2016 Patient Safety Leadership Award for her dedication to patient safety and quality at CRMC. Now appointed as the CEO\, she looks forward to leading CRMC into the future\, emphasizing exceptional care close to home.\n\nGUEST SPEAKER\n\nLisa Bumbalough\, Director of the Putnam County Health Department\n\n\n\nCookeville native and the Director of the Putnam County Health Department\, Lisa Bumbalough has devoted the majority of her adult life to enhancing the well-being of the Cookeville community. With a career spanning 30 years\, Lisa has served as the PCHD director for the past 17 years. Expressing her passion for making a positive impact\, she aligns herself with the health department's mission to "protect\, promote\, and improve the health of people in the community."
